Three Things I Do EVERYDAY to Crush My Confidence
Showing up daily on Instgram and promoting confidence is not easy. Just like you, I have my days where I am not feeling it, but I still have to show up. I can’t be encouraging you to be more confident if I can’t even be confident myself. I’m all about practicing what I preach.
I could sit here and lie to you and tell you that I exercise everyday and that helps me to crush my confidence. You might believe me because I do share workout stuff occasionally. But again, it would be a lie. I wish I exercised daily but the fact is, at this point in my life, I don’t. It is what it is.
But there are small things I do every single day that give me the boost I need when I’m really not feeling it. I’m sure if you sat and thought about it, you could come up with three things too.
So, here are three things I do every single day that help me to crush my confidence. Maybe you do these too or maybe you have your own list. If you don’t have a list, maybe try out mine or take some time out to discover three things you can incorporate into your daily life that can help you crush your confidence.
I drink a ton of water
I drink about 100 ounces of water every single day. No really, I do. I have an insulated water bottle that I refill all day long at work. Staying hydrated keeps my skin clear, helps with digestion, helps me refrain from eating crap all day and is good for my soul. Since I do video, I like my skin to look good and my hydration habit aides big time with that.
I wear lipstick
Red is my favourite lipstick colour, but I don’t wear it daily. Last year, I discovered a black-owned, clean, vegan line of lipsticks and was sold. Mented Cosmetics is my go to for everyday lipsticks. Their nudes work well on a variety of skin tones and are perfect for the everyday glam. I rotate between Peach Please, Nude La La and Foxy Brown Matte. For red, I wear Fenty Lip Stunna Uncensored.
I make videos
Yes, this is a massive part of my business, but seriously – showing up daily on video does wonders for my confidence. It helps me share my story, use my authentic voice and share my knowledge and skill set, which in turn shows off my expertise – big confidence boost!
