As a food lover, I always want delicious food that can be made quickly, especially this time of year when it’s just so busy. There are parties, late night shopping, drinks after work and so much more during the holidays. But I still want to have a relatively healthy meal that doesn’t break the bank.
Enter fresh pasta and sauces at Mike’s Market here in Bermuda. The pastas are restaurant- quality, gourmet and absolutely delicious. There are a variety of filled pasta as well as regular fresh pasta and there are sauces to accompany the pasta for the perfect bite. Add a salad and maybe some bread and you’ve got a fantastic dinner.
Pro tip: grab a filled pasta like the Wild Mushroom Triangoli and serve it with Marinara or try Ricotta Gnocchi with Pesto. Both were full of flavour and absolutely delicious. And if you grab two, you can have two options in case you have a picky child (like me).
Here’s how I prepared the pastas at home:
Step 1: Boil water in a medium sized pot and add pasta once water starts to bubble.
Step 2: Cook the pasta for one to three minutes or until it starts to float.
Step 3: Add sauce of choice to a sauce pan and let heat. Once warmed, add the pasta to the pan and coat with the sauce.
Step 4: Remove the pan from the heat and plate the pasta. Add freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh pepper if desired.
