Taste of Bermuda Preview

Mikaela Ian

Taste of Bermuda is happening this weekend and I am so ready to stuff my face with delicious eats and drinks. I mean, when am I NOT ready to stuff my face, but I digress.

Here’s what you need to know about it:

Taste of Bermuda starts on Friday and will be held over the entire weekend with three separate events: Set The Bar: Cocktail Competition on Friday, Front Street Formal: Live Dining Experience on Saturday and Tasting Village: Festival of Flavours featuring Anne Burrell on Sunday.

Both the Cocktail Competition and the Live Dining Experience are sold out, but I am going to the Cocktail Competition. That means I’ll be sharing stories, creating a reel and coming back here to give you a full recap.

The Tasting Village is likely going to be the best event of the weekend. Why?! Because there will be countless vendors available, entertainment and an appearance by Food Network celebrity chef Anne Burrell. And, it’s FREE 99 (aside from purchasing food and drinks). Let’s look at everything that’s going on.

The Tasting Village is open from 12 noon and will be held between Queen and Parliament Streets on Sunday. Expect to see a kid’s zone and various culinary delights from Bermuda’s best food and beverage vendors along Front Street. Additionally, the flagpole viewing stand will be transformed into a culinary stage and activated with upbeat cooking demos by Chef Anne, local featured chefs, entertainment and DJ’s mixing classic cooking tunes.

There will be an opportunity to meet Chef Anne directly after her cooking demo at 4pm as she will be doing a book signing. Grab your copy of one of her cookbooks at Brown and Co so that you can get it signed in person.

So basically, it’s going to be a fun day with fab food, refreshing cocktails, a celebrity chef appearance and music to keep you dancing. And because I mentioned food and drinks, I know you want to know what to expect. Here’s the full list of vendors:

Tokens are $3 and $6 and can be used to purchase food and drink samples. You can purchase them here but make sure you bring your receipt so that you can grab your tokens from the express line at the tasting village.

Will you attend the Tasting Village on Sunday?! Let me know what you’re most excited to eat/drink in the comments.
